About Me

Noor is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in private practice from Lebanon. She works with adults and elderly, and her scope of work includes, but is not exclusive to, abandonment, abuse, addiction, anxiety disorders, attachment issues, mood disorders, depression, BDSM, suicide and trauma. Noor provides in-person and online psychotherapy and is accessible via email or mobile phone (WhatsApp or call for appointments on +96171684725; Email on mentalhealth.psychodynamic@gmail.com).

Approach

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering, on unconscious processes as manifested in the client's present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are self-awareness and the understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior and thought processes. At the core of psychodynamic therapy is the belief that our present day life is a result of what we experienced and learned in the past. Thus, psychodynamic psychotherapy works to connect your choices, emotions and behaviors in life now to your childhood experiences. As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, Noor's work focuses on psychological interpretation of mental and emotional processes, as well as dream analysis. Behavior is influenced by unconscious thoughts; once vulnerable feelings are processed, defenses resolve. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is effective for a wide range of mental health symptoms, and its benefits grow through and after the treatment has ended.
