Nira McLaughlin, MSc

Psychologist

To help you get to know me a little better, my practice is a safe place where you can express yourself without fear and find understanding, analysis, and evidence-based solutions. I specialize in helping people who are experiencing anxiety, stress, and mood disorders, as well as narcissistic abuse or relationships marked by coercive control (including high-control groups or "cults"). I provide sessions in both Spanish and native English, respecting the linguistic and cultural needs of each individual. If you've made it this far, you've already taken a very important step. I invite you to book a session, an hour dedicated to you and what truly matters to you.

About Me

If you're reading this, it's likely that you're looking for a positive change in some area of your life. Maybe you want to improve a specific aspect, calm your mind, organize your thoughts, or simply work on your overall well-being. I'm Nira McLaughlin, a Licensed Psychologist (C-32726) with a Master's in Cognitive Neuroscience of Language. Welcome to this space for change, healing and support!

Approach

I use Evidence-Based Therapy (EBT), emphasizing a scientific approach to behavioral experiences. This involves combining clinical skills with available research to meet your individual needs. The main modalities I work with are Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I strive to create an individualized judgement-free space.
