About Me

As a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I specialise in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I work with a wide variety of people, including people with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties among other issues and symptoms. My psychotherapy practice is based in Dundalk, Co. Louth. My studies have spanned across psychology, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis, providing me with a broad and well-rounded foundation for my clinical work. As part of my training, I attended weekly case conferences at St Vincent’s University Hospital, where psychiatric and psychoanalytic perspectives on mental illness came together. This enriching experience has significantly shaped my clinical understanding of a wide range of mental health challenges, providing a nuanced approach to the complexities of the mind. With over a decade of academic study and continuous engagement in the field, I am actively involved in the field of psychoanalysis, presenting at professional conferences and study days.

Approach

Are you feeling stuck, or noticing the same patterns repeating in your life whether in relationships, work, or even within yourself? You may already understand a lot about yourself, yet something doesn’t change, and other approaches haven’t quite reached what matters to you. I’m an accredited psychoanalytic psychotherapist based in Dundalk, Co. Louth with over six years’ clinical experience working with adults and young people. I offer in-person and online psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, or a sense of unease. Others may be navigating challenges in their relationships with partners, family, or friends, or exploring aspects of their identity and sexuality. While we may notice symptoms like low mood or chronic worry, my work focuses on what lies beneath, the patterns, the habits, and emotional currents that shape your experience. My work addresses the underlying, often unspoken aspects of the human condition, the patterns, the repetitions, and the ways we can get in our own way, ultimately, these shape how we think, feel, and act. Over time, patterns that once felt fixed may begin to loosen.
