Nathan Becker, MA

Licensed Professional Counselor

I’m a licensed counselor who brings warmth, curiosity, and an engaged presence to therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated, we’ll break things down step by step and find a path forward that feels manageable.

About Me

I offer a warm, engaged, and empathetic space to better understand the fears, patterns, and pressures that may be leaving you overwhelmed, stuck, or unmotivated. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify what is holding you back and build practical strategies that help you move forward with more clarity and confidence. My goal is for you to feel genuinely heard, supported, and equipped with tools that fit your life. Whether you are navigating anxiety, avoidance, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, shame, or emotional overwhelm, therapy can help you relate to your struggles differently and take meaningful steps toward a life where you feel more grounded and in charge.

Approach

I help adults move from worry, avoidance, and overwhelm toward practical steps that build confidence and momentum. My approach is collaborative, structured, and compassionate, with sessions available in Portland or online throughout Oregon. Using CBT and ACT informed strategies, we will work together to better understand what keeps you stuck and create small, realistic experiments that help you move toward what matters. This may include behavioral experiments, values-based exercises, exposure work, practical skill-building, and brief between-session practices to help you notice what actually shifts in daily life. My style is steady, engaged, and hands-on. I aim to help therapy feel clear and useful, while still making space for the deeper emotions, patterns, and life experiences underneath the struggle. This approach is a good fit for adults who want structured support for anxiety, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, avoidance, and emotional overwhelm while building a calmer, more focused, and more flexible life.
