Somatic therapist in Hamburg, Germany (online and in person) specialising in trauma/CPTSD, adult children of emotionally immature parents, therapists/helpers, burnout. Somatic work bridges the gap between "progress" in talk therapy and actually feeling a difference in your well-being and daily life.

About Me

I guide individuals through the challenges of trauma, burnout, and the lasting impact of emotionally immature parents. As a somatic therapist, I help bridge the gap between discussing your experiences and truly feeling a tangible difference in your daily well-being. We explore how your body holds stress, translating insights from talk therapy into practical, embodied shifts. This approach offers a grounded path for therapists, helpers, and anyone seeking lasting personal change.

Approach

I guide sessions so they move between gentle bodily sensing and focused reflection, helping insights from talk feel lived in the body. In Hamburg or online in English, sessions are paced with short palpation exercises, grounding practices, and curiosity-driven questions that track how trauma, burnout, or old family patterns show up physically. Between meetings we use simple experiments—micro-practices to test new responses and notice real-world shifts. This way of working often fits adults and helpers seeking steady, embodied change rather than quick fixes.

Basic Information

Services

I am a somatic therapist practicing in Hamburg, Germany (online or in person, in English) and Oregon, USA (online only). I specialize in trauma and CPTSD, adult children of emotionally immature parents, therapists looking for their own therapist, and burnout. Many of us are unaware that our bodies are carrying the weight of trauma. Over time, it corrodes health, relationships, work, and well-being. Somatic therapy can help. The word "somatic" means of or relating to the body. We know that mind and body - thought, emotion, and sensation - are interconnected and influence one another, though not always in obvious ways. Somatic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines mind-body exercises, mindfulness, and experiential learning to address trauma at the root. Perhaps you’ve been in therapy before but it hasn’t taken you very far, or you have done great work in “talk therapy” and you’re ready to go deeper. Somatic therapy bridges the gap between "progress" in talk therapy and actually feeling a difference in your well-being and daily life. It's about learning how to listen to yourself, and unearth rather than bury the pain of the past. I offer individual and couples counseling for adults age 18+. I welcome folks of all genders, sexual orientations, cultures, races, faiths, and abilities who are ready to do the work. LGBTQI+ and polyam-friendly.
