Mr Melvin Calleja

Family Therapist

A warranted Systemic Family Psychotherapist working in school and residential care with adolescents and their families. With over 6 years of experience in community mental health, I bring a unique set of skills to help with mental health issues, relationships issue, family dynamics, & communication patterns.

About Me

I help families navigate the complexities of relationships and communication. My six years in community mental health offer a unique understanding of challenges faced by adolescents and their families. This includes mental health and relationship issues. We’ll explore communication patterns together, working towards clearer connections. I aim to create a space where every family member feels heard, fostering understanding and new ways forward together.

Approach

When families come to therapy with me, the focus shifts to noticing everyday patterns and testing small, achievable changes that make relationships feel different. I offer sessions online, in English and Maltese. Sessions tend to blend attentive listening, mapping interactions, and co-creating short experiments, especially around communication, boundaries and mood regulation with adolescents, so hope grows from steady practice.
