Ms Melissa Melnick

Clinical Psychologist

I aim to offer clients a space where they can experience careful, respectful, and thoughtful listening.

About Me

I offer a calm, confidential space where you can truly be heard. We carefully explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This helps you make sense of difficult experiences. Thoughtful listening allows us to uncover patterns and find new ways forward. If you feel overwhelmed or are navigating complex challenges, I provide respectful support. Together, we can gain clarity and understanding, always focusing on your unique story.

Approach

Sessions move at your pace, shaped by attentive, respectful listening that helps you notice small patterns and make sense of difficult moments. I work from a calm, confidential base—in Cape Town or online, in English or Afrikaans—so practical planning and emotional safety can happen wherever you are. In-session I ask gentle, focused questions, offer simple grounding and homework where helpful, and adjust pacing for children, adolescents or adults. This way of working tends to suit people managing complex, painful or confusing challenges.
