Mr Mehdi Fakhari, MA

Psychologist

As a psychoanalytic therapist with over 5,000 hours of clinical experience, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I have particular experience supporting Iranians living abroad who are dealing with migration, cultural adjustment, family expectations. I offer therapy in Farsi, with a focus on understanding the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties.

About Me

I work with adults who are going through emotional or relationship difficulties, life transitions, or a sense of feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. For Iranians living abroad, these experiences can sometimes be complicated by being away from home, adapting to a different culture, or the pressure of balancing personal needs with family and cultural expectations. In our sessions, I offer a warm and supportive space where you can speak openly and at your own pace. Together, we explore not only what you are experiencing now, but also the deeper patterns and past experiences that may be affecting how you feel, relate to others, and see yourself. My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change.

Approach

My approach is psychoanalytic, focusing on the deeper patterns behind your emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Together, we explore past experiences and recurring patterns to better understand what may be affecting your life today. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where meaningful and lasting change can develop over time.
