Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

At Core Psychotherapy we offer something different. Our therapy is for people who have a sincere desire to understand themselves, and to make courageous changes in their lives. We we listen to you in depth, over an extended period of time and with great intensity. We listen to what you say and to what you do not say. We listen to your life stories and to the story that you live with us in the room. We listen to what you already know or can see about yourself, and we listen to what you can’t yet see in yourself. Whatever managed care says, and whatever drugs are prescribed, and whatever the research findings, there will always be those who want to be listened to in depth. If you are seeking more than temporary symptom relief, our depth-oriented psychotherapy offers a space where lasting change becomes possible.

About Me

We provide depthful counseling for adults and adolescents. Our practice is not a garden-variety counseling clinic. At Core Psychotherapy, we don’t just treat symptoms — we uncover the human stories beneath them. We reject cookie-cutter solutions in favor of deep, individualized work grounded in psychoanalytic wisdom and modern neuroscience. This is therapy for those ready to engage courageously with their thoughts, habits, and inner lives to create lasting, meaningful change.

Approach

Our approach is informed primarily by psychodynamic principles. We emphasize creating a safe, supportive environment in which you can explore your own experience and gain insights into your underlying feelings and thoughts. Together we will uncover deeply held assumptions that may have been useful at one time, but currently reinforce ways of coping in the world that are no longer effective or relevant. With a therapist’s guidance you can learn a range of problem-solving options that may be new, or that may have previously felt out of reach or uncomfortable due to an internal conflict.
