Marie Calixte Le Liboux

Clinical Psychologist

I am a French Clinical Psychologist working with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional difficulties, and relationship or family concerns. I offer an integrative approach combining CBT, third-wave therapies and family therapy, with online consultations in French and English.

About Me

My work is grounded in clinical psychology and shaped by many years of experience supporting adults through periods of anxiety, emotional distress, trauma and complex life situations. I work in an active and collaborative way, helping each person understand what is happening, identify the patterns that maintain their difficulties, and develop concrete ways forward. My approach is integrative: rather than applying a single therapeutic model, I draw on different evidence-based and experiential approaches according to each person's needs and situation. I place particular importance on providing a clear therapeutic framework, while adapting the pace and direction of therapy to the individual. I currently work both in private practice in Paris and online, including with people living abroad.

Approach

My clinical approach is integrative and pragmatic. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), family therapy and third-wave approaches, and I adapt my work to each person's needs rather than applying a single model. My clinical training also includes DNR and Ericksonian hypnosis, which I use in appropriate in-person settings. My broader training also includes meditation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong and yoga teaching. While these are not presented as therapeutic techniques in my clinical practice, they have contributed to a broad understanding of the links between psychological experience, the body and emotional regulation, and reflect the openness that informs my integrative approach. Therapy is active and collaborative. Depending on the situation, we may work on understanding recurring patterns, thoughts and emotions, relationships and family dynamics, or use more experiential approaches. My aim is to provide both a clear therapeutic framework and enough flexibility to work with the person as a whole.

Services

I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety-related difficulties, including generalized anxiety, phobias, panic attacks and other forms of persistent or overwhelming anxiety. I also work with emotional regulation difficulties and recurring patterns that affect relationships and everyday life. Family therapy is another important area of my clinical work. Some people seek therapy to better understand how their personal and family history, relationships and recurring patterns continue to shape their present life. This work can be undertaken in its own right, or become relevant during therapy initially focused on another difficulty. Depending on each person's needs, therapy may draw on CBT, third-wave approaches, family therapy, meditation, visualization and other experiential techniques.
