About Me

My approach to art psychotherapy is rooted in person-centred and psychodynamic principles, which looks at your present and past, to gently uncover the patterns and feelings that might not be in your awareness, for a greater understanding. Using mark-making, art-making, or creation when needed can help you feel more grounded and emotionally regulated, while also offering ways to express experiences that may be difficult to put into words. These approaches allow emotions and needs to emerge gently, in a way that feels manageable and contained. I work with each person’s individual pace and readiness, supporting you to build trust and develop confidence in expressing and understanding your emotions. A key part of my work is recognising and validating your unique experiences, helping you to strengthen your sense of identity. Overall, I integrate creativity and talking through to support your emotional growth and well-being.

Approach

I am fully clinical trained as an Art psychotherapist.I hold a MA in Art therapy and I am accredited by the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council) and BAAT (British Association of Art Psychotherapists). This allows me to practice safely in the Uk. Art therapy is about expressing yourself with a mix of conversation, and creativity when words alone are not enough to understand what you are feeling, and helping to gain clarity in your behaviours. Together we can explore different perspectives and ideas to cope, embrace who you truly are and feel grounded in your body. My therapeutic approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in relational principles. You can text or call me to arrange an initial 15 minute free consultations to discuss the potentialities of working together.
