Ms Maila Khan, MA
Counseling Psychologist
“Counselling Psychologist with 2000+ hours of 1:1 sessions experience, specializing in the Existential-Humanistic approach. I have assisted individuals with challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, personal growth, life transitions, body-image issues, trauma, and existential concerns.”
About Me
Approach
I work with a client-centric and Humanistic approach. This means that I view each client as an unique individual with their own strengths and potential for growth. I prioritise creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and valued.
In my approach, I focus on empathy, which means I try to truly understand and share my clients' feelings. This helps create a strong, trusting, and respectful relationship.
Acceptance is also important to me; I see clients as they are and believe in their values and their ability to find their own solutions.
My role is to facilitate this process, and help them understand themselves better, develop ways to cope, and become more resilient. By working together, clients actively participate in their therapy, which helps them feel more in control and empowered in their journey toward well-being.
