Psychologist

Verified

Hello, my name is Mahnoush Nekoufar. I am a NIP-registered psychologist based in the Netherlands and hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Erasmus University Rotterdam. I work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Together, we can explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work towards lasting change, greater self-understanding, and a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.

About Me

In my work as a psychologist, I have developed a particular interest in supporting women experiencing anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, and self-doubt. I have found that these difficulties often emerge during periods of transition and change, such as moving to a new country, becoming a mother, navigating changes in relationships, or trying to balance the many roles and expectations placed upon them. Having lived in the Netherlands for many years and spoken with women from different backgrounds has further deepened my understanding of these experiences and the unique challenges they can bring. In our work together, I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences safely and openly. Together, we can make sense of what is happening both in your inner world and in your daily life, helping you move towards greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

Approach

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy.
