Miss Louise Turvey

Counseling Psychologist

I have some 25 years experience across adult Drug & Alcohol Services, Eating Disorder Service, perinatal, Primary care and Young people's services. I have worked with trauma across all these areas.

About Me

I draw on 25 years of experience to support adults and young people navigating various life challenges. My background spans drug and alcohol, eating disorders, perinatal and general mental health & well-being from primary care services . This broad foundation helps me deeply understand your unique situation. We will tailor sessions to your specific needs, exploring practical ways for you to move forward.

Approach

That breadth shapes how I work, favouring steady, practical sessions that balance listening with focused planning. I only work online currently. I keep meetings calm and paced, checking in on what feels useful between appointments and adapting plans as problems shift. Sessions often mix exploration of patterns with short, achievable steps you can try week to week, with clear space for parents or partners when appropriate. People seeking pragmatic, compassionate support tend to find this approach helpful. I also offer EMDR.
