Dr Loi Medvin, PsyD

Licensed Psychologist

I work collaboratively with clients to understand and change the patterns they're struggling with, attending to thoughts, emotions, the body, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped them. My work includes practical strategies alongside deeper experiential approaches. I also offer Brainspotting, therapy Intensives, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, that can serve as catalysts for change.

About Me

I'm a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. My work has been shaped by training in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy, attachment, neuropsychology, somatic approaches, Brainspotting, IFS/parts work, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Over the years, my clients have also been some of my greatest teachers, deepening my understanding of how people adapt, how patterns take shape and persist, and the importance of listening beyond words to the body, relationships, and lived experience.

Approach

I understand many of the patterns we struggle with as adaptations that developed in response to our experiences and relationships. My approach is collaborative and integrative, with attention to thoughts and emotions, the body, relationships, and what may be happening outside of conscious awareness. Depending on what we're working with, therapy may involve reflection and conversation, practical strategies, body awareness, parts work, Brainspotting, or other experiential processes. I may also suggest practices to explore between sessions. I'm interested in helping you understand your patterns in context and develop greater flexibility in how you respond to yourself, others, and your life.
