About me

I am a dedicated and experienced clinical psychologist with an aim to support individuals to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Hacettepe University, along with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Chicago. My academic journey has provided me with a solid foundation in psychological theory, research, and clinical practice, allowing me to offer comprehensive and evidence-based care to my clients. Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse settings, including universities, counseling centers, and research laboratories. My research background, including studies on impulsivity, addiction, and sensory processing, has further enriched my understanding of the human mind and behavior. This blend of academic and practical experience enables me to approach therapy comprehensively. Fluent in Turkish, German, and English, I work with clients from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, providing a compassionate and personalized approach to therapy. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or seeking personal growth, my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can foster insight, understand your emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Through a collaborative and tailored approach, I strive to empower my clients to overcome challenges and achieve lasting well-being.

Approach

As a psychodynamically oriented therapist, I believe that understanding the deeper, often unconscious aspects of our emotions, relationships, and past experiences is essential for lasting change. My approach is rooted in the idea that our early experiences and internalized patterns shape how we think, feel, and relate to others in the present. By exploring these underlying dynamics in a safe and reflective space, therapy can bring greater self-awareness, emotional insight, and personal growth.
