Dr Kristin Long

Psychoanalyst

Providing creative and analytic psychotherapy services to children, adults, and families.

About Me

I help children, adults, and families navigate their inner worlds through creative and analytic psychotherapy. This approach supports you in understanding complex feelings and uncovering deep patterns. We work together to foster personal growth and stronger connections. Whether facing current challenges or exploring long-standing issues, we can use imagination and thoughtful conversation. My aim is to help you find clarity and new ways forward.

Approach

Sessions often blend play, imagery and focused conversation to explore feelings and recurring patterns, offering imagination and reflection as ways forward. In my New York office I work in English with adolescents, adults and couples; sessions move at a steady, observant pace and sometimes include creative modalities to surface material that words alone miss. Between meetings I encourage simple practices or creative experiments that keep discoveries alive and test new ways of relating. People seeking deeper self-understanding, clearer relationships, or support around identity and eating challenges often find this approach helpful.
