Mr Keith Flynn

Therapeutic Counselor

I have been working as a therapist offering counselling to young people, teenagers and adults over the last 15 years. I work both face to face and online. I care about my work with my clients, I am good at what I do and I enjoy it. Whilst I cannot promise miracles, I can promise that I will give you everything I have to help you work through the difficulties that you are experiencing. If you’ve read this far, I’m guessing you’re ready to do the same for yourself.

About Me

I believe in compassion, trust, and growth. My aim is to empower individuals and young people / teenagers through understanding and support. Creating safe spaces to explore your thoughts and feelings. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or life changes, I’m here to listen, together we will work on understanding your challenges and building coping strategies.

Approach

Working from Eye in Suffolk and through secure online sessions, I offer a calm, focused space where we can work together at a pace that feels right for you, starting with whatever feels most urgent in your life. The work is often practical and steady, helping you explore patterns, understand triggers, and try out small, manageable changes between sessions, particularly around low mood, anxiety, family stress, and related difficulties. When needed, we can also focus on safety planning and strengthening self-worth. I understand that beginning counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to provide a confidential, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can speak about thoughts and feelings you may not have been able to express elsewhere. I place importance on building a supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and met with empathy. Therapy can be a helpful space for this kind of work. It gives you room to explore your experiences without judgement or pressure to follow a single perspective. While it can sometimes feel challenging, many people find that the process brings clarity, relief, and a stronger sense of direction over time, making the effort feel worthwhile.

Basic Information

Services

Adult counselling helps you understand yourself more clearly so you can make informed choices about how you want to live. We explore both visible and underlying barriers, with the aim of changing your relationship with ongoing difficulties so they feel less overwhelming over time. Young people’s counselling provides a safe space to talk about stress, friendships, self-esteem, and other challenges, helping young people feel supported and build confidence. It can also support parents who feel unsure how to help despite trying different resources or advice. Walking therapy takes place outdoors while walking side by side instead of sitting in a room. The movement often helps people feel more relaxed, less stuck, and more open, supporting a sense of forward momentum in therapy. Therapeutic supervision offers a reflective, collaborative space for therapists to explore client work, strengthen ethical practice, and develop professional skills. It supports both new and experienced practitioners in building confidence and staying effective in their work.
