Ms Kate Woodcroft

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I am in the final year of a Diploma of Somatic Psychotherapy and am looking for clients who are curious about the benefits of working with the body in tending to painful life experiences. I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, stress, life transitions and other difficulties.

About Me

I am a psychotherapist completing my somatic training, and I invite clients curious about how the body holds and processes challenging experiences. We can gently explore physical sensations to understand depression, anxiety, grief, or stress. This approach offers a unique path for those seeking to integrate mind and body in their healing. I aim to help you navigate life transitions. Together, we can find new ways to manage loneliness or other difficulties, fostering a deeper sense of self.

Approach

When sensations become signposts, we use them to gently trace patterns that have been shaping your days. In Brisbane, in English, sessions move at a steady, calm pace—short guided attention to breath and bodily shifts, reflective noticing, then soft experiments to widen choice between meetings. I invite curiosity about what the body is doing alongside thoughts and feelings, so we can slowly loosen habitual holding and expand practical ways to cope with anxiety, low mood or times of change. This way of working often suits adults ready to try a different route.
