Karlie Zabin

Associate Counselor

My goal as a clinician is to provide a supportive environment for clients to develop insight and bring their most authentic self. My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed. I pull from CBT, DBT, and somatic modalities within my practice.

About Me

I offer a supportive space to explore your inner world. Here, we can uncover deeper insights and help you express your most authentic self. My approach blends psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives. I also integrate practical tools from CBT, DBT, and somatic modalities. This helps clients understand past influences and develop new ways to navigate present challenges. If you seek a collaborative journey towards lasting change, we can work together.

Approach

Building on that invitation, I guide sessions with gentle curiosity, balancing deep exploration of past patterns with present-moment body awareness so insight leads to practical change. In my Brookfield office and via secure online sessions in English, we move at a pace you can tolerate, pairing reflection with short experiments and skills to try between meetings. I track relational themes and somatic cues alongside thoughts and emotions, helping you rehearse new responses. This way of working often suits people healing from trauma and rebuilding connection.
