Dr Karin Smith

Educational Psychologist

An experieced psychologist working with all ages

About Me

As an experienced educational psychologist, I support individuals of all ages in understanding and navigating life's learning and developmental pathways. Whether you're a child facing school challenges, a parent seeking guidance, or an adult exploring new directions, we can collaboratively explore your unique strengths. My aim is to help you gain clarity and develop practical strategies. Sessions offer a space to make sense of experiences and find effective ways forward, tailored to your needs.

Approach

With experience across life stages, I focus on practical, paced work that stays rooted in each person’s day-to-day reality. In Springs I see people in English and Afrikaans and also offer online sessions, aiming for a steady, predictable space you can rely on. Sessions move between careful assessment, brief experiential exercises and reflective conversation, paced to your tolerance, with clear steps to try between meetings and simple ways to track progress. This approach tends to suit those navigating transitions, anxiety or parenting and relationship strains.
