Mr Kamrul Hasan, MClinPsych

Psychologist

I am a Psychologist dedicated to promoting accessible, culturally responsive mental health care in Bangladesh. My work focuses on psychological assessment, evidence-based interventions, and psychoeducation, with particular interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relationship dynamics, and community mental health awareness. I strive to translate psychological knowledge into practical tools that empower individuals, couples, and families to manage emotional distress, build resilience, and improve overall well-being. Alongside clinical practice, I am committed to research, scale adaptation, and developing locally relevant resources that bridge the gap between mental health science and everyday life. My goal is to contribute to a mental health system that is ethical, compassionate, and accessible—where seeking psychological support is normalized and stigma is replaced with understanding.

About Me

I am a Psychologist who works with individuals and couples facing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical—I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where people feel heard, understood, and respected. Working with me is not just about talking; it is about understanding patterns, building insight, and learning skills that can be used in everyday life. I use evidence-based approaches, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while adapting techniques to fit each person’s cultural background, values, and personal goals. I am particularly committed to making mental health support accessible and relevant in our context, helping clients move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed toward clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.

Approach

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, structured, and client-centered. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel safe, understood, and actively involved in the process. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns to understand what is maintaining distress and what can support growth. I primarily use evidence-based methods, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients develop practical coping strategies, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and build healthier responses to life’s challenges. At the same time, I adapt interventions to each individual’s cultural context, personal values, and readiness for change. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help clients gain insight, strengthen resilience, and develop skills they can continue using long after therapy ends.
