Juan Jose Cassinelli Loor

Clinical Psychologist

Bilingual psychologist (English/Spanish) helping adults and couples move through anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges with practical, evidence-based care. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on finding real solutions that work for you.

About Me

I became a psychologist because I believe that with the right support, people are capable of finding effective solutions to what troubles them — and I want to be that support. For the past 6 years, I have worked with adults and couples navigating some of life's most difficult moments, from persistent anxiety and depression to relationship strain and family conflict. My clients often describe me as warm and down-to-earth. I don't believe therapy has to be rigid or distant — I bring genuine care to every session, and together we focus on what actually moves the needle for you. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and I respect each client's personal beliefs and background without imposing any particular worldview. I offer telehealth sessions, making it easy to access care from wherever you are most comfortable.

Approach

My work is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I don’t dwell on the past — we build concrete solutions starting today, with a structured, collaborative method. I also work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic principles. CBT helps us identify and shift the thought patterns and behaviors keeping you stuck, while a psychodynamic lens allows us to explore deeper patterns that may be shaping your present experience. Together, these approaches create a therapy that is both practical and meaningfully personal — solution-focused without being superficial.
