Ms Jill McAlister, MPsych

Clinical Psychologist

I offer Career and Life Direction Coaching to help you find meaning, purpose and direction in your work and life. I can help if you are you feeling unfulfilled, stuck or uncertain about your career direction. Perhaps you're considering a career change, returning to work after a break, or simply wondering whether there's something more fulfilling waiting for you. Many people reach a point where they want work that not only utilises their strengths but also reflects their values and provides a genuine sense of meaning. I offer a 4-Session Career & Life Direction Coaching Program designed to help you gain greater self-understanding, clarify your direction, and create a practical plan for building a career and life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Using evidence-based psychological approaches, career development strategies and guided self-reflection, we'll explore your unique strengths, interests, values and aspirations to help you identify a direction that is both meaningful and achievable.

About Me

I have worked as a Psychologist for over 25 years in private practice, offering personal counselling and career coaching, although my current focus is on career and life direction coaching. I have also worked as a Careers Consultant at a university careers service and as an Outplacement Consultant, supporting adults experiencing retrenchment and career transition.

Approach

I believe career decisions cannot be separated from the rest of our lives. Our values, personality, life experiences, emotional wellbeing and sense of purpose all influence the work that brings us fulfillment. My approach combines my background in psychology and career coaching to help you understand yourself as a whole person—not just what you could do, but what will genuinely feel meaningful and sustainable for you. Together, we'll work to discover a direction that aligns with who you are and the life you want to create.
