Lambertus (Jean)

Mr Lambertus (Jean) Louw

Educational Psychologist

I can assist with the following assessments: school-readiness, scholastic assessments, assessments for accommodations & concessions, subject choices and career assessments.

About Me

I am an Educational Psychologist based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. I assess and diagnose ADHD, attention difficulties, and stress or burnout. I conduct intellectual and diagnostic assessments and give clear, practical recommendations for school and work.

Approach

Jean follows a holistic (systemic) and pragmatic approach to therapy with a special interest in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB). IPNB, also termed relational neuroscience, is rooted in attachment theory and sees human development, functioning and wellbeing as a product of the interaction between genes and the individual’s relational environment. This means that quality connections and relationships are deemed important for emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Jean believes in second chances, that making bad decisions does not make one a bad person and that happiness is a state of being that has to be pursued afresh each day.
