verified by TherapyRoute

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore emotional challenges, develop insight, and build practical tools for lasting change. I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, with a special interest in supporting clients through life stage exploration, perimenopause, and menopause. I use an integrative approach informed by BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®), mindfulness-based strategies, and traditional talk therapy. Each therapeutic process is tailored to the unique needs and goals of the individual. My intention is to help clients feel supported and empowered as they move toward greater emotional wellbeing and self-understanding.

About Me

I am a Counselling Psychologist based in South Africa, offering both in-person and online therapy for individuals across the country. I have over two decades of clinical experience supporting adults and adolescents through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and developmental challenges. My therapeutic style is person-centred, trauma-informed, and integrative. I draw from evidence-based methods including BWRT®, mindfulness, psychodynamic insights, and supportive talk therapy. I work holistically, always adapting my approach to meet each client’s unique context and goals. I have a particular interest in working with clients navigating life transitions, including adolescence, career shifts, identity development, and the emotional impacts of perimenopause and menopause. I also support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, trauma, and relationship stress. I provide therapy in both English and Afrikaans, and am available for short- or long-term work depending on your needs.

Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed. I draw on a range of evidence-based methods to support each client’s unique needs, pace, and goals. Central to my work is creating a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I incorporate techniques from BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) — an effective, brief intervention for anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation — as well as mindfulness-based practices, psychodynamic insights, and traditional talk therapy. My work is guided by both clinical knowledge and deep respect for each individual’s personal experience and strengths. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific difficulty or exploring broader life changes, I work collaboratively to help you develop insight, build coping tools, and move toward greater emotional wellbeing.
