Jamie Shedrofsky

Social Worker (Mental Health)

I'm a LMSW and clinician based in Brooklyn, offering a holistic, strengths-based and welcoming approach to therapy via Dwellness. I work with individuals of all ages, but have expertise in supporting adolescents and young adults.

About Me

I offer a welcoming, strengths-based space for individuals, especially adolescents and young adults, navigating life’s complexities. We’ll explore your unique strengths and develop practical strategies. This includes building coping tools for anxiety or big life changes. My aim is to help you feel heard and equipped, tailoring our work to your pace. This approach helps young people build resilience and find their voice, fostering well-being.

Approach

Sessions move at your pace, blending gentle curiosity with clear, manageable steps that feel useful between meetings. I see clients in Brooklyn and work in English, offering brief practices and simple experiments to try at home so progress isn’t only talked about. In-session we notice patterns, practice grounding and values-based choices, and build small routines that address anxiety, attention, body image or life transitions. This way of working often helps adolescents, young adults, and parents feel steadier and more able to take next steps.
