Jamie Hyslop

Clinical Psychologist

I aim to partner with adults and adolescents during their times of distress and work with them to facilitate their psychological well-being. I have a special interest in neurodiversity, particularly ADHD (in adolescents and adults) and autism.

About Me

I partner with adults and adolescents experiencing distress, helping them foster psychological well-being. My special interest is neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and autism. We can explore your unique experiences, understanding how your mind works best. Together, we find practical ways to navigate daily life challenges. My aim is a supportive space where you feel truly heard and confident in your path forward.

Approach

In sessions I focus on how your attention, routines and relationships shape daily stress and the small, practical shifts that ease them. I work from Roodepoort and online in English, keeping a steady, predictable pace where we balance practical strategies with gentle reflection. You can expect clear explanations, short experiments between meetings and simple maps of thinking and habits so change feels tangible. This way of working often helps adolescents, adults and parents seeking workable, compassionate steps through transitions, attention difficulties or mood challenges.
