It Takes Courage to Ask for Help
Whether you’re caught in spiral of overthinking, feel a malaise that you just can’t shake, or are having a tough time making life changes that you know will make you happier, it can be so painful and overwhelming to face it all alone. It’s therefore a truly courageous act to be aware that some things in life are just not working and to want to find a way to change them.
Therapy That Takes a Holistic View
You are more than just a set of symptoms or a problem to be fixed, but rather that you are a person who has been shaped by all of the different aspects that make who you are. I work with people of all backgrounds and with many different issues or concerns that bring them to therapy, from anxiety and depression, identity issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, sex and intimacy issues, phase of life issues or struggles around life changes, and PTSD.
I create a space for nonjudgmental reflection, curiosity, understanding, empathy, honesty, safety, and creativity so that you may heal and grow from what is currently keeping you stuck. Because of this, I view myself as an inclusive therapist, and work from a stance that affirms diverse identities and practices.
Therapy That Promotes Genuine Growth
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist. This type of therapy doesn’t offer one-size-fits-all or bandaid solutions that don’t work. Our work together will help you delve deeper into self-understanding to foster change that is meaningful and impactful. By better understanding what is getting in the way, you will feel more whole, confident, resilient, capable, and free.

CORE SERVICES:
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an evidence-based practice that is based on the finding that by better understanding ourselves on a deeper level we can have more control over our life choices and feel more at peace with who we are.
Because this type of therapy takes place at a deep and intimate level, it is important that we create a safe, warm, confidential space for inner exploration through nonjudgmental curiosity. What this means in practice is that you are encouraged to share thoughts, feelings, experiences, dreams, and fears that may not be acceptable or may be stigmatized in the outside world.
The relationship between patient and therapist is an essential component of therapy. We work in a collaborative manner and build the type of trust and vulnerability that allows us to better understand who you are so that change can occur at the root of the issue.
