Irina Terekhova, M.Psi.

Psychologist

Analytically oriented psychologist. Working with adults and adolescents. Primary format is online; in-person sessions in Hamburg and Hanover are available by arrangement. Languages: Ukrainian, Russian, German. Working in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Ethical Principles for Psychologists (Berlin, 2008); long-term work is conducted under supervision. I look forward to our meeting and the opportunity to be of support.

About Me

I became interested in psychology in 2011, when I began my own personal analysis. Later, I earned a higher education degree in psychology. In 2020, I completed training in the analytical approach and started my practice. I continue my personal analysis, study various therapeutic approaches, and participate in a peer supervision group. By training, I am a designer and worked for nearly 20 years as an art director, which has significantly influenced my professional approach. In my work, I listen attentively, interpret, and create a space where images, symbols, and new understanding of oneself and one’s surroundings can emerge.

Approach

My approach is grounded in analytical psychology, where dialogue and work with the unconscious play a central role. I work with archetypes, symbols, and images. I use projective methods, including working with dreams, drawings, and texts. Together with clients, we explore inner resources and address internal conflicts that may underlie psychological, mental, or psychosomatic difficulties. Jungian analysts do not assign diagnoses; instead, they meet the person in their individuality and the depth of their psyche. We work with who you are — your personal history, your environment, and your experiences of trauma. At the same time, we look toward the future, as the ultimate goal of therapy is to improve quality of life, make it richer and more fulfilling, and allow your energy to flow freely and express itself in the world.
