Miss Huma Lawren

CBT Psychotherapist

I have ten years of experience working in the mental health field. I worked individually and in groups with people from diverse ethnic minorities and religious and cultural backgrounds. My goal as a therapist is to reduce mental health stigma, anxiety, depression, relationships, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

About Me

I bring ten years of experience helping individuals and groups navigate mental health challenges. As a CBT Psychotherapist, I support people from diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. My goal is to reduce the weight of mental health stigma. I help you address anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance abuse, or eating disorders. We can work together to explore effective strategies, ensuring our sessions respect your unique background and experiences.

Approach

Experience has taught me to shape therapy around your cultural context and practical goals, so our work stays relevant to everyday life. I offer appointments in London and online, in English, Farsi or Hindi/Urdu, and keep sessions structured but adaptable to your pace. We move between careful assessment and collaborative, evidence-informed steps — brief behavioural experiments, thought records and tailored coping plans that you can use between meetings to ease anxiety, mood or relationship strain. This way of working often helps people across adolescence to later life.
