Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Verified

I am a Qualified International Behaviour Analyst specialising in early intervention. Our programme, grounded in the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), supports children from birth to 3 years old who are at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders. We give these children the best possible head start in life by addressing developmental challenges early and effectively.

About Me

I am the Founder and CEO of Nobelova Gradani PsychoEducational Services, a specialist organisation dedicated to mental healthcare and neurodevelopmental support for children, adolescents, and adults. I have been a member of the Nigerian Bar Association since 1991 and hold a Master’s degree in Social Science from the Open University, United Kingdom. I am a Chartered Educational Assessor with the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors (University of Hertfordshire), a Certified Autism Specialist with IBCCES (USA), and an International Training Provider for the International Behaviour Analysis Organisation (IBAO). I also serve as the Nigeria representative for Exceptional Child Vector Solution USA. Through these collaborations, I have developed training frameworks for mental health professionals and inclusive education programmes. In 2018, Nobelova Gradani partnered with Corona College of Education to train over 400 teachers, and by 2019, we had supported 800 teachers across Nigeria in identifying children at risk of educational underachievement. To date, we have trained 170 ABA Early Intervention Specialists, 56 IBCCES-credentialed professionals, and 15 International Behaviour Analysts registered with IBAO. I am recognised for delivering comprehensive training programmes for professionals supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through our School Health Screening Programme, we identify both physical and invisible disabilities. We have screened nearly 12,000 children across Nigeria, with around 80% now receiving early intervention services. My vision is that no Nigerian child is left behind. This has driven initiatives such as the CHILD-P and Find Child programmes, and has led to recognition including being named one of the 60 Most Influential Women in Nigeria by Business Day (2020) and recognition by the Committee of Women for Africa UK (2017). In 2022, I joined the Advisory Committee of the International Behaviour Analysis Organisation. In 2025, I received the Global Health & Pharma (GHP) UK Award for Mental Health, and Nobelova Gradani was recognised as Best Neurodiversity-Inclusive Therapy & Support Services. In 2026, I was awarded a PhD (Honoris Causa) in Executive Leadership. I currently serve as the World Behaviour Analysis Day Ambassador for Nigeria and Secretary of the Association of Behaviour Analysis of Nigeria (ABAN). I am a Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QABA) and an International Behaviour Analyst with IBAO, as well as a Specialist Assessor qualified to recommend exam access arrangements. I am also a registered Test User with the British Psychological Society, with certifications in occupational testing, the Hogan Personality Inventory, and the European Test User Licence. I provide hospitals, schools, and organisations with high-quality developmental, educational, and psychometric assessments, alongside evidence-based interventions and workforce development programmes grounded in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and international best practices. I remain deeply committed to early detection and intervention, advocating for routine child screening so that every child with neurodevelopmental needs can access timely, effective, and science-based support to improve their quality of life.

Approach

My approach is proactive, evidence-based, and rooted in early detection. I strongly believe that developmental screening of newborns and infants is the most important first step toward ensuring every child achieves their full potential by meeting key developmental milestones. This process is known as Developmental Surveillance, a systematic and continuous monitoring of a child’s physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive skills from birth onward. Through regular, expert-guided observations and standardised screening tools, potential delays can be identified early, allowing for timely intervention when the brain is most responsive to positive change. As a holder of a PhD (Hon) in Executive Leadership, International Behaviour Analyst, and Advanced Certified Autism Specialist, I combine clinical precision with compassionate care. My method integrates developmental surveillance with comprehensive assessments and individualised early intervention strategies, empowering families to address challenges effectively and build lasting strengths in their children. Early surveillance is not just best practice; it is the cornerstone of optimal child development.
