Hailey Hughes

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am an authentic, collaborative and experienced therapist specializing in trauma (C-PTSD, PTSD, developmental trauma), mood disorders, anxiety and LGBTQIA+ identity work. It's always important to me to approach therapy with the goal of self-acceptance and nervous system regulation in mind.

About Me

I offer an open, compassionate space for those navigating trauma, anxiety, or mood symptoms. My aim is to help you cultivate body awareness in order to decode the language of your nervous system and start responding to your emotional needs from a place of agency and empowerment. We will explore these skills by engaging in somatic tracking and regulation, which is basically discovering how your unique system responds to stress. This gentle approach fosters a deep sense o0f alignment and inner connectedness. Somatic therapy is an ideal approach for anyone seeking a grounded way to heal and embrace their authentic identity.

Approach

Sessions often unfold with gentle pacing, attending first to how your body finds settling while we gently name patterns that keep anxiety or past hurts alive. On walk and talks and through online sessions, I combine movement-based interventions, brief reflective prompts, and collaborative pacing so you can notice shifts without feeling overwhelmed. Between meetings you may practice simple, client-tailored grounding or tracking experiments to test what feels stabilizing. This way of working suits folks seeking steady, embodied steps toward alignment and the agency to set boundaries and find motivation with more ease than before.
