Mr Graham Robinson, MSc

Integrative Psychotherapist

verified by TherapyRoute

I offer online psychotherapy for adults navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. The aim is always practical; to help you understand what's getting in the way and move forward, without keeping you in therapy longer than you need to be.

About Me

I'm a psychotherapist and counsellor with an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, completed with distinction and recognised with the university's Outstanding Achievement Prize. I'm an Individual Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Before training as a therapist I studied Applied Psychology at University College Cork. That background gave me a lasting respect for research and evidence, and a healthy scepticism about claims that don't hold up to scrutiny. It shapes how I think about therapy and how I stay current in my practice. I work online with adults across Ireland, the UK, and EU. Clients often come to me feeling stuck, carrying anxiety, low mood, or patterns in relationships they can't quite shift. I work in a calm, grounded way, but I'll challenge you when it's useful. I'm here to be with you in important moments, and to help you need me less. I believe that clinical supervision and ongoing professional development are very important to effective and ethical therapeutic and counselling work.

Approach

My approach is integrative, drawing on attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and person-centred practice, but I try not to let the theory get in the way. If there's something practical and concrete that can help, we'll work on that first. That said, sometimes going deeper is exactly what's needed, and I won't avoid that either. I work collaboratively; the relationship between us matters, and so does your own sense of what you need from therapy.

Basic Information

Services

I work with adults on a one-to-one basis, online. The difficulties I see most often are anxiety and worry, low mood and depression, relationship patterns, difficulties with self-worth and identity, and periods of significant life change. I don't claim to specialise in everything. If something you're dealing with falls outside what I can offer well, I'll say so and help you find someone better placed to help.
