“I am a psychologist working from a psychodynamic orientation. My clinical focus is on understanding emotional patterns, relational dynamics, and unconscious processes that shape how individuals experience themselves and others. I aim to provide a reflective and contained therapeutic space where difficulties can be explored beyond surface-level symptoms, with attention to meaning, repetition, and inner conflict.”
About Me
I hold a BA in Psychology from Istanbul University. My clinical training has included both individual therapy work and research-based practice. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a research psychologist at Bakırköy Mental Health Hospital, where I took part in a project examining the relationship between Rorschach test findings and psychiatric diagnoses.
After completing my training and supervision in psychodynamic therapy, I worked at a counseling center in Turkey. I later practiced as a psychologist in hematology and oncology hospitals in Azerbaijan and Montenegro, working closely with themes of illness, loss, uncertainty, and psychological endurance.
My clinical work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach. I focus on understanding underlying emotional patterns, relational dynamics, and unconscious processes rather than addressing symptoms in isolation.
I currently offer online and in-person therapy and continue my training and supervision in Lacanian psychoanalysis.
Approach
My clinical work is informed by Lacanian psychoanalysis. I focus on how language, desire, and unconscious structures shape a person’s experience of distress. Rather than treating symptoms as isolated problems, I explore what they express about the subject’s inner conflicts, repetitions, and relationship to others.
Therapy is approached as a space where speech, silences, and recurring themes are carefully attended to. Through this process, unconscious patterns can become more visible, allowing the person to relate differently to their symptoms and their sense of self.
Services
In my psychotherapeutic work, I approach therapy as a structured and reflective process grounded in listening, speech, and the unfolding of unconscious patterns over time. Sessions are shaped by what the individual brings, with careful attention to language, emotional responses, and recurring themes, rather than predefined techniques or rapid interventions.
Alongside psychotherapy, I provide psychological assessment when clinically indicated. I am trained in the administration and clinical use of objective assessment tools, including the MMPI, as well as a range of child and adolescent assessment instruments. These assessments are used to support diagnostic understanding and clinical formulation and are always integrated into the therapeutic process.
My professional training includes work in trauma, loss and grief, psycho-oncology, personality organization, and expressive approaches. I continue my education through ongoing training and supervision in Lacanian psychoanalysis.
