Eva Cotillas Vélez

Psychologist

I am a therapist working in English and Spanish, in Leiden and online. In my approach, I recognize the deep connection between the mind, the body, and the environment. I’m a NIP-registered psychologist with a master’s in Clinical Psychology.

About Me

Hi, I’m Eva. I come from Spain and studied psychology in Leiden, where I now work as a psychologist. In my practice, I work with people navigating family or relationship issues and processing past traumatic or painful experiences.

Approach

I see therapy as a process where each session meets you where you are. Our sessions are a place where you can share what feels most meaningful to you in the present moment, allowing intuition and openness to guide our work together. During therapy, we will notice emotions, name patterns around shame or self‑worth, and try small, practical shifts you can test between sessions. I integrate diverse therapeutic approaches, grounded in emotion-focused and trauma-informed care.
