Miss Emily Sheard

Occupational Therapist

As an experienced, person-centred Occupational Therapist working in mental health, I take a practical approach to helping adolescents and adults develop and integrate the skills they need to effectively meet the demands of life.

About Me

My practical approach helps adolescents and adults strengthen their ability to manage daily life with greater ease. I guide you in developing tailored skills and routines, from managing energy to navigating social situations, so you can effectively meet personal and professional demands. Clients find this process empowering, gaining confidence as they integrate new, tangible ways to live more fully and independently.

Approach

Sessions feel hands-on and collaborative, with short experiments and real-world tasks we plan together to build sustainable routines. Based in Cape Town I offer English sessions face-to-face and online, paced to fit school, work and energy levels. We break tasks into small steps, rehearse social and self-care strategies, and set brief between-session tasks so changes transfer into daily life. This way of working often suits teens and adults facing anxiety, mood or eating-related difficulties.
