Daniela De Los Angeles

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I'm an inclusive therapist specializing in functional depression & anxiety, generational trauma, disordered eating, and body image concerns. My goal is to help folks stuck in a cycle of over functioning, people pleasing, & disconnection learn to break this cycle and get to a place of clarity and connection.

About Me

I help people who feel stuck in a cycle of over functioning, people pleasing, disconnection and overwhelm learn to break this cycle and get to a place of grounding, clarity and authenticity. Everyone deserves the opportunity to heal childhood wounds, and to live authentically and fully present in their own body and life. You don't have to figure it out on your own. If you’re seeking complex trauma therapy and high functioning depression and anxiety, I may be the right fit for you.

Approach

In my opinion, one of the most important factors in getting to a place of grounding and healing, is having a strong connection and fit with your therapist. In our work together, you’ll find that my style is warm, compassionate, and empathetic. I try my best to make therapy not feel rigid or colorless by bringing in my personality, humor and authentic self into each session, and fully welcome you bringing these into our work together as well. I’m not afraid to talk about anything you need to! I’ve been in this field for a long while, so nothing shocks me. I approach things from a place of curiosity and non-judgment. I enjoy fostering a space, both in my work and my life outside of therapy, that’s gender affirming and body positive, as well as sex positive, poly and kink friendly/affirming. I also strive to provide a supportive space that is culture affirming and trauma informed, with an understanding that you are the expert on your life.

Basic Information

Services

I don’t see therapy as a one size fits all approach. Depending on what’s going on for you and what you’d like to explore, each session will be different. For example, some sessions will focus on building coping skills to manage symptoms, while other sessions will go more in depth into complex trauma and focus on inner child or family system work. From a person-centered approach, I pull in from different therapies and tools as needed.
