Ms Damini Butalia

Psychotherapist

I use narrative and psychodynamic approaches informed by an understanding of psycho-social lived realities. I work and train to be trauma informed, a queer ally, anti-caste and other systems of oppression.

About Me

Perhaps you're navigating complex lived realities, wanting to understand how societal pressures or past experiences shape you. I offer a trauma-informed space where we can collaboratively explore your unique story. As a queer ally, I actively challenge systems of oppression, ensuring all parts of you are welcome. We'll make sense of your experiences together, fostering resilience and new understanding.

Approach

Patterns of feeling, memory and pressure often show up as small, repeatable moments—I help you name and map them so the 'why' becomes something we can work with. In New Delhi or online, in English or Hindi/Urdu, sessions move at your pace: I listen for themes and trace relational echoes while keeping exploration within what feels safe. Between meetings we try small, practical experiments—boundary shifts or language changes—and notice their effect on mood, anxiety and connection. It suits people navigating transitions, past hurt or fraught relationships who want steady, collaborative change.
