Clara

Mrs Clara Stephan, MA

Clinical Psychologist

My work is grounded in presence, compassion, and awareness. I offer a collaborative and reflective space where emotions, patterns, and experiences can be explored at your pace. Drawing from Gestalt therapy, I focus on the here-and-now to support meaningful choice and change.

About Me

I am generally reflective and observant in sessions, intervening when something feels important to clarify, deepen, or bring into awareness. My style is warm and grounding, and clients often describe my questions as thoughtful and meaningful, helping them see things from a new perspective.

Approach

Gestalt therapy is a humanistic, experiential psychotherapy focusing on present-moment awareness, personal responsibility, and the "here and now," viewing individuals as whole, integrated beings (a "gestalt") rather than fragmented parts. Developed by Fritz Perls, Laura Perls, and Paul Goodman, it helps people become aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to resolve issues by addressing "unfinished business" and blocked growth, often using techniques like the empty chair exercise to explore disowned parts of the self.
