Dr ClaireMarie Clark

Clinical Psychologist

I help people get past feeling stuck and overwhelmed, set healthy boundaries, and learn to practice self-care to create more rewarding lives. Are you feeling lost, stuck, or overwhelmed? I can help you identify and access strengths and resources for healing and growth. I help people who are struggling with stress and overwhelm, a lack of meaning and purpose, and low self-worth issues, which can show up as anxiety and depression. I love working with late-diagnosed/self-diagnosed autistics and anyone exploring masking/unmasking, authentic identity, or strengths and accommodations for your neurotype and authentic self. I value diversity and inclusivity. I work from a social justice, fat-liberation/HAES, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodiversity-affirming lens.

About Me

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of WA with over 14 years of experience helping people who are feeling stuck and overwhelmed and dealing with burn out, anxiety, and depression. I have lived experience as a fat, late-diagnosed, high-masking ADHD-Autistic, cis-gendered, white woman.

Approach

Therapy goals range from learning emotional regulations skills, developing self-compassion, increasing self-care, enforcing healthy boundaries, using assertive communication skills, and building healthy relationships, to improving overall wellbeing and quality of life and living more authentically. I will work collaboratively with you- the expert on you- to identify your goals and treatment plan. I value diversity and inclusivity and work from anti-racist, social justice, LGBTQIA2S, fat-liberation/HAES, and neurodiversity-affirming lenses. I prioritize building connection in the therapeutic relationship. I highlight strengths and encourage openness, flexibility, self-advocacy, and genuine self expression (including stimming and self-regulating behaviors).

Services

I help you reduce overwhelm by reconnecting with your authentic, genuine self through identifying values, enforcing healthy boundaries, and prioritizing self-care after years of masking and prioritizing others. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and strength-based approaches. I help people who feel overwhelmed- by work, school, parenting, socializing, or just life in general. That feeling of overwhelm, of treading water and always trying to "catch up", is what resonates with a lot of the clients who reach out to me. I'm here to help with you with overwhelm, getting unstuck, and finding your flow!
