Ms Cheryl Malek

Counseling Psychologist

I offer psychotherapy for people or families who wish to live a more fulfilling life or manage difficulties threatening their well-being.

About Me

I provide a warm, supportive space where individuals and families can explore what truly matters. We gently unpack difficulties impacting your well-being, helping you discover new ways forward. My approach focuses on understanding underlying patterns and developing practical strategies. This helps you build resilience and move towards a more fulfilling daily life.

Approach

I focus on small, practical shifts that change daily rhythms and relationships and open space for different choices. In my Randburg consulting room I work in English, pacing sessions to fit individuals, parents, children and whole families — sometimes using play-based activities with young ones and focused conversation with adults. We try short experiments, clarify triggers, practice emotion regulation and set manageable between-session steps so new habits can take hold. This hands-on, reflective pace tends to suit people dealing with parenting strains, anger, anxiety or burnout.
