Cassandra Singh

Counselor

I believe in providing mental health access to all individuals of different genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. As a first generation immigrant from Guyana, I have a passion to provide counseling to individuals from backgrounds where mental health is largely overlooked and/or misunderstood.

About Me

I am dedicated to providing mental health access for all, embracing diverse genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. As a first-generation immigrant from Guyana, I understand the unique challenges in communities where mental health is often overlooked. I guide individuals from these backgrounds, offering a truly understanding space where your experiences are validated. Together, we can explore your concerns and build a path to greater well-being.

Approach

Valuing diverse identities, I guide therapy toward practical, culturally attuned change that respects your pace and lived experience. Sessions in English—in-person in New York or online—move between short mindfulness practices, skill-building for attention and stress, and conversational reflection so tools feel useful in daily life. Between sessions we set small, doable experiments and brief check-ins to track what helps and adjust together. This approach tends to suit young adults and busy people navigating transitions who want steady, practical support.
