Prof Caroll Hermann

Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist, certified hypnotherapist and BrainWorking Recursive Therapist specialising in psychodynamic, person-centred care, expressive arts therapy, and organisational training in diversity, cultural sensitivity, and mental well-being.

About Me

As a clinical psychologist, I work with individuals, couples, and groups across all ages, offering a compassionate and person-centred therapeutic space. My approach is primarily psychodynamic, guided by the belief that deeper self-understanding empowers meaningful and lasting change. I integrate expressive arts therapy into my work, using creative expression as a pathway to insight, emotional healing, and strengthened resilience. This allows clients to access parts of their experience that may be difficult to express verbally, fostering a holistic therapeutic journey. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a certified BrainWorking Recursive Therapist (BWRT) and a passionate public speaker. I regularly present on the value of expressive arts in mental health care and facilitate workshops on diversity, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive practice within organisations. My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and cultural humility, and I am committed to creating environments, both in therapy and in training spaces, where people feel safe, seen, and supported in their growth.

Approach

I focus on a person-centred psychodynamic approach.
