Miss Caroline Ávila

Psychologist

I am a licensed Brazilian psychologist with a specialization in Psychoanalytic Theory and Institutional Clinical Practice and six years of clinical experience. I offer online therapy for adults who wish to explore their inner world, better understand the forces shaping their thoughts and behaviours, uncover the roots of emotional difficulties, and find new ways to move forward.

About Me

I see therapy as a space that can help us build our lives with our own sense of meaning, with autonomy and with what we truly desire. That is why I work within the psychoanalytic approach. I believe therapy is a space for encountering what we often cannot identify on our own, and it is precisely because of this that it becomes a transformative process.

Approach

The idea of our sessions is that you speak freely about whatever comes to your mind, while I listen attentively, ask questions and offer interpretations. Over time, we can understand the origins of your emotional struggles, the patterns that repeat themselves and impact your life today. From there, it also becomes possible to build new ways of relating to yourself and to others.
