Carmel

Mrs Carmel McGeachy

Psychotherapist

I offer a therapeutic space for individuals to work through difficult issues which may be impacting on their wellbeing and behaviour.

About Me

I provide a safe, collaborative space to explore difficult issues affecting your wellbeing. Together, we can make sense of feelings and understand underlying patterns impacting your behaviour. This process offers a chance to gain new perspective and develop effective ways to cope. My aim is to help you find greater clarity and balance. This approach is ideal for those seeking to move forward with more ease and confidence.

Approach

You’ll notice sessions move at a steady, collaborative pace where we name what’s troubling you, try small changes and notice what shifts. In Yarm and online, in English, I keep the room practical and attentive: listening, reflective questions and concrete strategies help stabilise mood, manage anger and begin to understand past abuse or adoption-related hurts. Between sessions I may suggest short, tailored practices or gentle experiments to uncover patterns and build confidence in daily choices. This way of working suits adults facing transitions or persistent low mood seeking steady progress.
