Bruna Gonzalez

Authorized Psychologist

I help adolescents and young adults navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, self-esteem, relationships, social difficulties, and neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD. Together, we can build practical strategies for a more confident, balanced, and authentic life.

About Me

I am a Brazilian psychologist working primarily with adolescents and young adults. I have clinical experience supporting both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients, particularly autistic individuals and those facing anxiety, social difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, low self-esteem, and relationship concerns. I believe therapy should feel human, welcoming, and genuinely connected to your everyday life. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, understand yourself more deeply, and feel respected for who you are. I also enjoy incorporating clients’ interests — such as music, films, series, books, games, and everyday experiences — when they can make therapy more meaningful and relatable. Sessions are available online in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Approach

My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that explores how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, we work collaboratively to understand the patterns behind your difficulties and develop practical strategies for change. Depending on your needs, our work may include emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, identifying and reframing unhelpful thoughts, problem-solving, psychoeducation, and behavioral techniques. With neurodivergent clients, I adapt the therapeutic process to individual communication styles, needs, strengths, and ways of experiencing the world. My goal is not to change who you are, but to help you understand yourself, develop autonomy, reduce distress, and build a life that feels more manageable and authentic.
