Mrs Barbara Van Heerden

Clinical Psychologist

I love to guide people on their journey to self-discovery and healing. Every person’s story is sacred and unique. I use a mind-body therapy as my main modality.

About Me

I’d be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery. Every person’s story holds unique wisdom, and I use mind-body therapy to help you gently connect with it. This approach is ideal for those seeking to understand their experiences deeply, allowing feelings and thoughts to surface safely. Together, we can cultivate inner calm and resilience, nurturing your path to authentic healing.

Approach

You’ll notice a calm, intentional pace where we attend to sensations, stories and patterns together, allowing gentle shifts to emerge. In my Randburg consulting room I offer sessions in English and Afrikaans, creating a safe space for reflection, assessment and practical exploration between meetings. Sessions blend careful clinical assessment with experiential exercises that help untangle anxiety, mood changes, relational patterns and the echoes of past distress. This way of working often suits adults seeking thoughtful, embodied understanding and steady, practical change.
