Play Therapy for Children aged 2 years and up and Creative Therapy for Adolescents and Adults in Limerick and Munster.

Creative/ Play Therapy provides a safe space for children, teenagers and adults to explore and express their experiences and emotions and develop new ways of coping with their world. Play Therapy is effective in supporting children in learning new ways of managing their emotions and behaviour, reducing negative or concerning behaviours and increasing self-esteem and overall coping. Play therapy may be indicated when emotional, behavioural or social difficulties are present or following traumatic experiences.

This service is provided by a trained and experienced Certified and Accredited Play Therapist, Janine Nehrig. Janine has worked with children and families in different settings since 2003. As a member of Play Therapy Ireland and the Psychological Society of Ireland, she adheres to strict codes of practice, incl. clinical supervision, continuing professional development and clinical governance, as well as Ireland's child protection guidelines Children First. Janine is also a member of the Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists, Accredited Register, accredited and regulated by the UK government Professional Standards Authority.

Arch Therapy Centre now also provides Creative Clinical Supervision for therapeutic practitioners.

Arch Therapy Centre also offers Therapeutic Parent Support to help parents find new ways of supporting their children's challenging behaviours at home.
