Anita Owusu

Registered Social Worker

I am an experiential and trauma focused therapist who is ready to support you through life's most challenging times. I care about my clients and fostering a therapeutic environment where they can be their authentic self

About Me

I offer a warm, safe space where you can truly be yourself, especially when navigating difficult experiences. As an experiential and trauma-focused therapist, I help you process challenging memories and emotions, fostering deeper understanding. We can explore what feels overwhelming, finding ways to integrate past events and build resilience. This approach is ideal for those ready to move through life's most challenging times with genuine support. My aim is for you to feel seen and empowered.

Approach

We focus on the here-and-now of your body, memories and everyday choices, using gentle experiments and paced processing to help what feels stuck become more tolerable. Sessions in Toronto or online, in English, are collaborative and tuned to your energy — sometimes somatic resourcing, sometimes reflective processing with brief tasks between meetings to consolidate progress. I offer short practices you can try between sessions and regular check-ins to adjust pace and safety. This approach often fits people navigating trauma, anxiety or life transitions who want steady, practical change.
